Competition Compliance

A word on competition compliance...

Compliance PNG_edited_edited.jpg

The Detroit Air Cargo Association's mission is to unite and provide a platform for Detroit's air cargo industry. However, we are sensitive to the fact that any and all discussions taking place at any event or forum hosted by the Detroit Air Cargo Association must be for the collective benefit of the industry as a whole.

Therefore, it is important to remember that anti-trust laws and competition compliance must be adhered to; and as a rule, the guidelines below have been established to ensure that all conversations remain in the spirit of the mission of the Detroit Air Cargo Association.

Do not discuss

• Pricing, including rates and service charges commissions

• Bids on contracts allocation of customers

• Geographic/Product market allocations and marketing plans, including expanding or withdrawing from markets

• Group boycotts

• Standard setting that could be construed as a group boycott or otherwise unreasonably restrain trade

• Your relations with agents, airlines or other third parties

• Any discussion aimed at influencing the independent business decision of competitors

You will be asked to leave the meeting, and the meeting may be terminated, if such discussions occur !

Remember: All discussions count, even informal ones outside the meeting room!
